As salamu 'alaikum brothers and sisters,If you're reading this, you have taken the first step in preparing for your future career as an IRK & HS graduate. In this blog, you will find your older brothers and sisters who have graduated before you and have navigated the working world for 20-odd years, sometimes more. We are sharing our career stories, the ups and downs, the goods and bads and the fun and not-so-fun.
If you're expecting to read about success, you might not find it here.
If you're expecting to be inspired, you might not experience it here.
If you're expecting us to hold your hand to achieve your goals, you will definitely not get it here.
But, if you're expecting to learn about life after IIUM, then here is a good place to start.
We won't lie to you. Life is not always a path paved with gold, nor is the road always bumpy. We will share with you the challenges we had while studying, and later while looking for a job. We will share with you some of the advice we wished someone had given us when we were in your position, and we pray you take them seriously and use it to prepare for your future.
But most of all, we will not abandon you. Many of us have included our contact information at the end of our career stories, so I suggest you reach out to us. Be courteous, be polite and above all, be serious about how we can help you.
We can guide you, but you want to take responsibility for your own path and career. Plan well and take action. InshaAllah we will be there along with you for the ride.
